2 Dead In Terrorist Attack On Russian Aid Centres Near Orthodox Churches In Damascus

Takfiri terrorists have shelled a Russian run aid distribution centre in the Christian quarter of Damascus, which is located in close proximity to two churches. One mortar landed near the Syriac Orthodox Church and another near the Antiochian Orthodox Church. Two are reported dead from the attack while other wounded civilians are being treated nearby. The nationality of the deceased is not yet known.

Earlier, other areas in the Old City of Damascus were shelled by terrorists who have become emboldened in their barbarity after shooting down a Russian Su-25 fighter jet over Idlib.

By targeting a Russian aid distribution centre near two prominent Orthodox Churches, it is clear that the terrorists are seeking to do inflict damage on those with fraternal/spiritual bonds with Russia.
